Originally from Statesville, Briana now lives in Mooresville with her two dogs, Max and Olivia, and her cat, Sam. Briana is always determined to go above and beyond for her patients and neighbors. She’s proud of Sightwork’s range of services and that “doing community work and educating others on the importance of eye health is very important to us.” She loves to paint, garden, cook, dive into true crime or mystery novels, and volunteer.
Lauren joined Sightwork in 2017 and is now our Lead Vision Therapist. She loves connecting with her patients and helping them hit their visual milestones. Lauren is also committed to “never stop learning,” which has led to her becoming certified in syntonics (optometric phototherapy). Originally from Mooresville, she now lives with her husband, daughter, and three dogs, who love riding the golf cart and any lake recreations!
Liz pivoted from business ownership to vision therapy because she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives by improving their eyesight. She loves working with kids, helping them feel comfortable, and seeing the tremendous impact that clear and proper vision processing has for them. Liz has been married to her husband for 40 years (and counting), has four adult children and several grandkids, and cherishes her time with them all.
A Denver community member, Tammy chose the optometric space because she has a visually impaired son and was motivated to help anyone who struggles to see. She has a passion for helping patients meet their visual goals and improve their eyesight. Tammy enjoys being a part of the Sightwork visual therapy team because of entire practice’s dedication to patient success: in her own words, “The staff here truly has a heart for the patients of Sightwork.”
Kathleen became part of the Sightwork team in 2020. She thoroughly enjoys working with kids and hearing their stories, and treasures when she receives a laugh or “thank you” drawing from them. She moved to North Carolina 10 years ago, and lives with her husband, three kids, and four “spoiled” rescue pets! She enjoys putting her interior design degree to use, crafting, tending to her butterfly gardens, and volunteering with the Boy Scouts and her children’s school.
After being a paralegal for 27 years, Lori first joined us as a vision therapist, but quickly fell in love with being the first face patients see and their guide through our care. She’s thrilled to be part of a team that “[does] everything we possibly can to make the patient happy and achieve success.” She lives in Denver with her husband, children, and dog, Stella, and spends her free time travelling, in the mountains, watching her youngest play sports, and volunteering at Appalachian State University.
